Characteristics of projects

Each operational unit composed preferably by at least two teachers/researchers belonging to roles of the institution which its the research unit. In this case, the manager of research unit may designate, between these, a Vice-responsible to replace the responsible in case of his transfer or of prolonged impediment.

4. Scientific Coordinator has the responsibility scientific, organisational and financial project, subject to the responsibilities of each research unit in the operational management of the contributions allocated, respecting the rules of procedure of administration, finance and accounting.
5. Each teacher/Researcher may participate in a single research project and to a single operating unit. May not be responsible or participate in projects, those who in the course of 2009 are placed to rest for age limits.
6. Research projects of national interest have two years.
7. All the teachers/researchers that are inserted in research groups co-financed in the programme prin 2007, of the Ministerial Decree no. 1175 /ric/2007 of 18 September 2007, it is forbidden to participate in any title to national groups programme Research PRIN 2008.

Presentation of projects

1. Each research project of national interest is presented by scientific coordinator.
2. For the 2008, the deadline for the submission of applications for part-financing is fixed not to 27 January 2009 for the coordinators scientific (model), and 20 January 2009 for the leaders of units (model B).
3. The applications for part-financing, written in Italian both in English, shall be submitted exclusively to via telematics within the period referred to in subparagraph 2. Within 10 days following the period referred to in paragraph 2, paper copy of the questions must be transmitted, duly signed by the proponents, to the rectors of universities of belonging and, in the case of Heads of Unit research bodies to their presidents. for subsequent verification, the Ministry may ask for a copy of the document lodged.
4. Each University and each research entity may access to applications submitted by its staff.
5. Applications shall be made using models/application (a and b) specially designed by the Ministry, and available in network in its specific site. Applications must contain, inter alia, the indication of the following information:
a) the title of the project, duration and area of of;
b) name of the coordinator of the leaders of scientific and research unit participants; ;
c) List of teachers/researchers that make up the research project divided for operational units;
d) Abstract (abstract) of the research project;
e) keywords proposals;
f) final objectives that the project aims to and schedule; g) State of art;
h) articulation of the project and schedule;
i)the role of each unit operating in function of the objectives set and the way of integration and cooperation;
l) overall cost of project, articulated by headings;
m)The expected results from search, their interest for the advancement of knowledge and any potential applications;
n) elements and proposed criteria for the verification of the results achieved
6. A share not exceeding 10% The overhead costs of research may be intended for the reimbursement, even flat-rate, the general expences incurred by the institutions and scientific facilities at which it plays the research project.7. In financial statement must be indicated the following financial, detailed analytically if necessary:
a) direct, available or available with certainty, made available by the universities or by bodies, research, to which they belong the researchers of the operational unity;
b) direct, available or available with certainty, made available by third party;
c) the share request to the Ministry under the programme prin 2008.
8. The sum of the funding of subparagraphs (a) and (b) may not be less than 30% The sum of the costs referred to in (a), (b) and (c). 
9. In the case in which the Research Unit is constituted by at least two teachers/researchers belonging to roles of the institution which its the same Research Unit, in an experimental between the costs of the project is also included share part of the cost of their internal staff, by exploitation, of all conventional, limited to gross cost of one month/person in the head of the unit. This amount (which may not be more than 30% of the project cost) is seen as resource that is already available at the institution itself.
